Last Sunday morning, Srecko Lorbek, owner operator of the high profile Melbourne based Lorbek Luxury Cars, hosted breakfast for a 50 plus combined fleet of Ferrari and Lamborghini Club members and owners before they drove up the Calder Freeway to Castlemaine to join (or as unnamed observer said) invade the Lancia Club’s23rd Biennial Rallly.
This was the first time Ferrari and Lamborghini members have displayed at Lancia’s popular event, much to the delight of Lancia Club officials as the combined display of Italian Classic cars, including the 85 Lancias on display, was the biggest ever.
Trent Smyth, Ferrari Club President and Dominec Quattrocchi, Lamborghini Club’s Event Director organised the impressive range of Ferraris (33) and the 16 Lambos. A rare DeLorean DMC – 12 complete with interior “back to the future” equipment somehow got in the mix.
Club members appreciated the opportunity to preview Srecko’s impressive new, but unopened to public, Port Melbourne showrooms and his range of classic cars for sale as well as the hot coffee, muffins, cakes and toast provided before they started their engines at 9.45 am.
Lorbek Luxury Cars is a sponsor for this weeks Motorclassica and is also a key sponsor for Motorclassica’s Club Sandwich Display where over Saturday and Sunday, in excess of 400 classic and collectible cars and motorcycles sourced from 37 Clubs will be displayed and changed daily. There will be daily prizes awarded for Best Club display and Best Presented Car.
