Last Sunday morning, the Maserati Owners Club of Australia (MOCA) started their Tridente Radiator Tribute Raid #9 Raid at Tiamos Cafe in Lygon Street Carlton.
A big convoy of Maserati’s ,together with some other rare Italian marques and European classic cars headed off after breakfast to the Lyonville Spring Valley Hotel for lunch via Woodend for an inspection of a MOCA members car restoration at a local body workshop.
These Maserati chaps certainly have the knack in attracting rare Italian cars .
Seen in the Spring Gully Hotel’s car park was the only convertible Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona in Australia ( dark blue),a gold Lamborghini (in original condition) Espada , a barn find in South Australia after being unregistered for last 21 years and several 1960s and 1970 s limited edition Maseratis that have been previously displayed at Motorclassica .
Specilaist automotive artist and photographer, Dishan Marikar was there to capture the wide range of Maseratis and other classic and rare cars that ventured to Woodend and Lyonville last Sunday.
