Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat Chrysler used Alfa Romeos 105th anniversary celebration in Milan to release the new Alfa badge-logo, the 2016 Alfa 6C QV and their planned roll out of seven new Alfa models over the next 4 years. These announcements reinforces Alfa Romeo’s commitment to not only revive the Alfa spirit and iconic image, but also to enter the competitive compact luxury and performance market currently dominated by MB,BMW and Audi.
The CEO’s new Alfa strategy, following the recent successful 4C launch is reflected in his Milan media presentation;
”Giving a voice to the real Alfa Romeo is a moral imperative. We can finally say today is the first day of a new era for Alfa.”
The Giulia QV, planned for delivery late 2016 has a 380kW Ferrari version developed twin-turbo V6 engine which featured in the Maserati Ghibli. Priced around $150,000 ,it is expected Alfa will also introduce a 4 cylinder Giulia version-petrol and diesel .While more details on these new models will be released at the forthcoming Frankfurt motor show in September 2015,Alfa Romeo now has the model range and production capacity to return to the large USA and Chinese markets.
