The Fiat Car Club Of Victoria (FCCV) was formed in 1957 and at next month’s Italian Auto Icons Lygon Street, Carlton display on Sunday 5/3/17,FCCV will be fielding a large and diverse range of Fiat classic ,rare and iconic cars as part of their 60th Anniversary celebration.
Fiats always attract a lot of interest at this annual display and we have provided a preview of some of the rare Fiats coming on 5/3/17 together with several previous Fiat interviews and articles posted on our website.
We have selected three rare Fiats:
1924 FIAT (USA) Taxi left hand drive, a museum piece.
1968 Yellow Dino Spyder 2 Litre, Series 2, with Ferrari V6 Quad Cam, 5 speed manual synchromesh gear box with a max speed of 127 MPH.
Only 500 produced in collaboration between Enzo Ferrari and Fiat enabling Ferrari to qualify the engine for racing in a Formula 2 car. Pininfarina was commissioned by Fiat to design and manufacture the Spyder body work.
1967 Fiat Vingale 124 Coupe Eveline
Only 200 produced by Carrozzeria Vingale using Fiat running gear and mechanicals .This car was purchased and restored by its current owner from a Victorian doctor in the early 1990s .It is the only Vingale 124 in Australia and in working/going condition.
